Wooden Jigsaw Puzzles

The Wild Michigan trio of wooden puzzles are fantastic. They are beautifully made and fun to put together. The artwork is lively and engaging. The designs and colors are full of energy. Love how the puzzle goes beyond the traditional edge border and the inclusion of the other animals to find is both educational and fun! Thank you, Adolfe, for letting us play with your artwork.

It was really fun to put together

This puzzle is truly a one of a kind with some of the pieces being shaped as various people or things on Mackinac Island. When you add to it that the artwork is by the amazing Erynn Rice, you truly are getting an amazing puzzle. Thank you for teaming up with Erynn and creating this magnificent puzzle!

I’m so impressed with this beautiful puzzle! It was so fun finding the different items; the golfer horse and carriage, etc.

This is simply an EXTRAORDINARY puzzle!! The passion to detail is evident!! The artwork is not only GORGEOUS but very well suited to puzzling with each flower grouping feeling like a distinct pattern - feeling the brushstrokes!! The MANY whimsies were all relevant to the beauty and serene memories of visiting Mackinac Island. I look forward to treasuring this BEAUTY for YEARS & supporting this dedicated small business!! 100% recommend!! LOVE!!

The image from Mackinac Island caught my attention as I once enjoyed a lovely vacation there. Turns out the company is out of Michigan. I loved this beautiful and brightly colored wooden jigsaw puzzle. It had whimsies, was made out of the thicker 1/4” wood, and the pieces fit tightly together. I can’t wait for them to keep releasing more and more images!

These COLORFUL snack sized puzzles are beautifully made!! The irregular edges add a little extra difficulty & the whimsies are a HOOT!!

Beautiful puzzles!

I had pre-ordered these since I love small wooden puzzles since they don’t take up too much space and love how tactile they are to build. They were all a joy to build and I think the Trout was definitely the most difficult, required a bit more time, but with patience, it all came together! I loved all the mini whimsy puzzle solves within each puzzle, but the ones in the Trout still have me stumped! There is enough texture and color in the art where you won’t be stuck for a long time and when it comes together, it’s a great sense of accomplishment!

I thoroughly enjoyed these 3 wooden puzzles. I usually am not drawn to puzzles that are not at least 500 pieces, but decided to try these because of the great price. I'm so happy I did! The quality of Lighthouse Wooden Puzzles was exceptional! I loved the matte finish (cuts down the glare under the light). My favorite of the trio was Rainbow Trout. The pieces were small, but were a challenge to put together, which is what I love! The artistic creativity of this one is obvious, with the trout splashing outside of the predictable straight border! Very fun! River Otter had larger pieces, and will work very well for my 81 year old aunt who loves to do wooden puzzles! The colorful Barred Owl was a delight to work as well. Each of the mini puzzles have alternate solutions to some smaller complex whimsies - a puzzle within a puzzle! These are also the perfect size travel puzzles - will easily pack in a suitcase to assemble in a hotel room when traveling. You will not be disappointed with these little treasures!

I loved every second of solving this puzzle. This puzzle is perfection from the thick pieces to the vibrant colors and amazing art. An additional plus was there were no laser burn marks on this puzzle! Lighthouse Puzzles has shot up to being one of my favorite laser cut puzzle companies after this delightful mini and I look forward to getting more.

Rainbow Trout - 85-piece wooden puzzle by @lighthousepuzzles, art by Adolfo Valle. Lighthouse Puzzles is a Michigan company; I'm a Wisconsinite, which means that Lake Michigan is something we have in common. I first saw this puzzle when Lighthouse had a giveaway of each of its mini puzzles. I entered to win all of them (and ended up winning none - not a surprise - I don't tend to win giveaways). But this one of the three really drew me in. My dad spent a lot of time fishing for trout on Lake Michigan. He died three years ago this month, and on one of his last trips, he caught a prize-winning brown trout. This is a rainbow trout, not a brown trout, but it's close enough to make me think fondly about my dad.

The puzzle itself is only 85 pieces, but given the cut, it was still challenging enough for me. I think the cut would intimidate me had this been a 500-piece puzzle, but given the artwork and size, it was a perfect difficulty level for me. I love that it came with an index card that has an animal spotting guide showing 4 other fish in the puzzle on one side and has a nice artist bio on the other. As soon as the 3 mini puzzles were available for pre-order, I bought them all, so I look forward to diving into the otter and owl as well. If they're similar to this one, I can see myself coming back to them over and over.
