Shipping

How long does shipping take?
Our puzzles ship from Michigan via USPS Mail. We try our best to ship them the day after you order. Customers within the US can expect to receive their package in a few days.

How much does shipping cost?
Shipping fees are calculated by USPS using the weight of your order and your zip code.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We use calculated shipping fees from USPS to deliver internationally.

Are your puzzles made in the US?
Yes, all Lighthouse Puzzles are made in our small workshop in DeWitt, Michigan.

Are your puzzles printed on paper and laminated to wood, or printed directly on to wood?
We utilize direct-to-wood UV printing to provide a vivid image that avoids any unsightly peeling that sometimes occurs with laminated paper on wood puzzles.

Where does the puzzle artwork come from?
We partner with Michigan-focused fine artists and illustrators and license their work directly. A portion of each sale is paid directly to the artist.

What makes wooden jigsaw puzzles different from other types of puzzles?
Wooden jigsaw puzzles are unique because they are made from sustainable wood, which not only makes them more durable but also adds a tactile and sensory element to the puzzle experience. In addition, each piece is cut using lasers, which ensures precision and creates a puzzle that is both challenging and beautiful.

Do your puzzles have "Whimsy" pieces?
Yes! Each puzzle is designed with specially shaped "whimsy" pieces that are thematically relevant to the puzzle.

How thick are your wooden puzzles?
Our puzzles are currently made from 1/4" North American maple hardwood plywood. We source our plywood from more than one supplier, so thickness may vary slightly from puzzle to puzzle.

Are wooden jigsaw puzzles more difficult than other types of puzzles?
Not necessarily. While wooden jigsaw puzzles can be more challenging due to their unique pieces and the tactile feel of the wood, the level of difficulty ultimately depends on the design and number of pieces in the puzzle.

How long will it take me to complete a puzzle?
Every puzzler has a different pace, but in general, we like to think that our small puzzles can be completed in about an hour, but our large puzzles will likely take a few sessions to complete. We believe that our 500-piece wooden jigsaw puzzles have about the same difficultly level as a 1000-piece cardboard puzzle.

Care & Replacements

How do I care for my wooden jigsaw puzzle?
To keep your wooden jigsaw puzzle in good condition, we recommend storing it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid exposing the puzzle to moisture or extreme temperatures, and use a soft cloth to clean the pieces as needed.

What happens if I find a damaged/missing piece?
Missing or damaged pieces can be replaced free of charge. Please reach out to us on the contact page and we'll get the process started.
